Last Will and Testament of Charles Keevil
This is the last Will and Testament of me Charles Keevil of Stalbridge in the County of Dorset Yeoman I give devise and bequeath all my real and personal Estate and Effects unto my Brother in Law John Sharp of Sedgehill in the County of Wilts Yeoman and my dear Wife Ann Keevil their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns according to the legal nature thereof Upon Trust to suffer the same to remains in the hands of my said Wife so long as she may wish to retain the same and then to invest the Monies to arise therefrom as good Security and permit my said Wife to receive the annual Income to arise therefrom for the use of herself and her Children living with her for and during her natural life and Upon Trust that the same may be divided after her decease unto and equally between and amongst all my Children share and share alike as Tenants in common and not as joint Tenants And I empower my said Trustees in the Survivor of them his or her Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns at any time before or after the decease of my said Wife to sell and dispose of all or any part of my said real or personal Estate and Effects who shall not afterwards have to see to the application of such purchase Money. And it is my Will that my Sons in rotation according to age shall have my Leasehold property offered to them at a valuation fairly to the wage and afterwards my Daughters in like rotation previous to the same being offered for sale publicly And further that my Trustees may advance to any one of my said Children any sum not exceeding their respective shares on the sole personal security of such Children or Child requiring the same and I declare that the sum of one hundred and two Pounds has already been advanced to my son Thomas Keevil and the sum of Sixty Pounds to my Daughter Elizabeth the Wife of George Brown which is to be considered as in part of their respective shares under the distribution to be made according to this my Will And I nominate and appoint the said John Sharp and my said Wife jointly Executor and Executrix of this my Will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this sixteenth day of December one thousand eight hundred and forty six -
